Florida's Space Coast

A visit to the Tampa Bay area of Florida won't be complete without an excursion to the Kennedy Space Center, 110 miles (186 km) east of Tampa.

Guided bus tours of the launch pad are available.  Visitors can experience the historic launch of Apollo 8 at the facility and marvel at the massive Saturn V rocket.

Kennedy Space Center

If possible, try to coordinate your visit to the Kennedy Space Center with a scheduled rocket launch.  There are a number of good viewing areas available at or near the Kennedy Space Centre.

Launches are broadcasted on loudspeakers that are set-up around the space complex, including at the visitor's parking area.
