Clearwater Beach is home to a small residential population and to a commercial area where tourists can purchase essential items.  The community also has a number of good cafes and restaurants.

Clearwater Beach is connected to the main city of Clearwater by public transit.

Unfortunately, the parking situation at Clearwater Beach and right along the barrier islands is poor.  Some pay parking and metered parking, however, is available.
